There’s No Substitution For Experience

A Middlesex County Grand Jury handed down indictments against three men who now face numerous charges related to an Aug. 1 home invasion, according to the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office. The charged men include a 20-year-old Salem man, a 22-year-old Lynn man and a 19-year-old Lynn man.

According to police reports, a female resident was held down and a male resident was pistol-whipped after five men invaded an apartment located on Chester Lane. The five allegedly demanded money from the resident. He was shocked with a stun gun, and the suspected home invaders also allegedly threatened to kill both residents.

The three indicted men were arrested soon after the reported invasion. Following their indictments, they now face multiple charges, including armed assault in a dwelling, home invasion, armed assault to rob, intimidation to steal, armed robbery, possession of an unlicensed firearm and five counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Additional charges the men are facing include assault with a dangerous weapon, two counts of assault and battery, possession of a stun gun, aggravated assault and battery and two counts of making threats to commit a crime.

When people are accused of criminal offenses such as  breaking and entering  or others, they have certain constitutionally-protected rights during their cases. Felony criminal offenses have the potential for significant terms of imprisonment, especially when people face multiple charges. When a person is indicted and charged, he or she may greatly benefit by seeking the help of a criminal defense attorney. An attorney may be able to devise a strong defense strategy, file evidentiary motions, negotiate pleas to lesser offenses or to probation in lieu of prison, or advocate for their clients through hearings and any jury trials resulting from the cases.
