There’s No Substitution For Experience

By Brian D. Roman, Attorney at Law

Domestic violence accusations are some very serious accusations that can impact your criminal record, as well as your personal life. These accusations can pit you and your loved one against each other, even if your loved one doesn’t want you to have to face criminal charges.

A domestic violence charge can mean that you don’t have the right to be around your loved one. It can mean that a restraining order is placed against you. It can mean that you have to move out of your home.

Some people don’t realize that the  victim in a domestic violence case can’t drop the charges  against their loved one if the prosecution has picked up those charges. Once a case is handed over to the prosecutor, the decision about whether to pursue a charge or drop it is up to the prosecutor.

We know that facing  domestic violence  charges is a stressful event. We can help you learn your options for presenting a defense. If the prosecution opts to pursue the charges, we can investigate the case. From there, we can help you to learn how each  defense option  that is available can affect your case.

You don’t have to face domestic violence charges alone. We can help you to ensure that your rights are protected throughout the case. If we end up having to go to a trial, we can explain to you what may happen.

Don’t sit back and think that domestic violence charges are going to go away. Stand up and fight the charges placed against you and protect your rights in the process.
